DGP Swain vows to bring perpetrators of policeman’s killing to justice

Police in Jammu and Kashmir have made progress in their investigation into the killing of a policeman in Baramulla district last month, and have vowed to bring the killers to justice.

Director General of Police R R Swain said on Saturday that the police have identified the killer and his supporters, and are working to apprehend them. He also said that the police are aware of the involvement of people from across the border in the killing, and are taking steps to counter their activities.

Swain also said that the police will be launching a new strategy this winter to create an environment in Jammu and Kashmir where no one is willing to support terrorists. He said that the police will not tolerate any loss of life, either of civilians or of police personnel, and will bring anyone who supports terrorists to justice.
