Doda Police Chief Reviews Crime and Security Situation

SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom, chaired a crime and security review meeting with all the Supervisory Officers and SHOs of the District. They discussed cases registered during the current year as well as backlog cases.

SSP Qayoom directed the officers to:

  • Ensure maximum disposal of cases under investigation.
  • Complete inquest proceedings.
  • Act against absconders and sub-absconders.
  • Trace out the missing persons.
  • Open history sheets of drug peddlers, OGWs and bovine smugglers.
  • Identify the property of sub-absconders and drug smugglers for initiating proceedings in the Court of law for attachment of their property.
  • Make special efforts in theft cases and ensure recovery of stolen properties.
  • Take stringent action against traffic violators and those violating other preventive sections, including COTPA.
  • Take stringent action in SIM card fraud/misuse cases against SIM vendors/users.
  • Enhance installation of CCTV Cameras under operation Third EYE.
  • Keep effective surveillance on Madrassas and Child Care Centres under operation Pathshalla.
  • Dispose of online grievances and complaints.
  • Hold PCPG meetings on a regular basis to address the issues of the general public.
