Dream of rail link to Kashmir made possible due to PM’s determination: Ashwani Vaishnaw

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering determination and sharp focus have transformed the long-cherished dream of connecting Kashmir to the national railway network into a tangible reality, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Friday.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Vande Bharat train to Kashmir in the pilgrim town, Vaishnaw highlighted the immense challenges overcome in constructing the Jammu-Srinagar-Baramulla railway line. “The nation had nurtured the dream of the Jammu-Srinagar-Baramulla railway line for decades. There were many difficulties, like tall mountains and deep valleys,” he stated. However, he emphasized that instead of battling nature, the project succeeded through an intricate network of bridges and tunnels, turning the railway line into a reality.

Vaishnaw attributed this monumental achievement to the Prime Minister’s “strong will, determined endeavor and laser sharp focus.” He described the day as historic, proclaiming that with the completion of the rail line, “another jewel has been added to Maa Bharti’s crown.”
