Baramulla Police, in its ongoing mission to rid society of the drug menace, has arrested a drug peddler and seized a significant amount of contraband.
A police team from Baramulla Police Station, led by the Station House Officer, established a checkpoint at Eco Park Baramulla. During a routine check, they intercepted a suspect identified as Roshan Ahmad Awan, a resident of Paranpeelan Uri. A thorough search of the individual led to the recovery of approximately 65 grams of charas.
Awan has been apprehended and is currently in police custody. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the law, and a detailed investigation is underway.
