Handwara Police, in a joint operation with the Indian Army’s 22 RR and the CRPF’s 92 BN, apprehended a terrorist associate named Ashiq Hussain Wani during a cordon and search operation in the Bongam Chogul area. Wani, a resident of Tujjer Shareif Sopore, was found in possession of one pistol, one magazine, and seven live rounds.
A case has been registered against Wani under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at Handwara Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
