Er. Aijaz Hussain Meets LG at Raj Bhawan Srinagar, Discusses Haj 2025 and development issues of Lalchowk Constituency

Senior BJP leader Er. Aijaz Hussain today met the Honourable Lieutenant Governor at Raj Bhawan Srinagar to discuss arrangements for Haj 2025 and various developmental concerns related to Lalchowk Constituency.

During the meeting, he stressed the need for better coordination and facilities for Haj pilgrims. He also raised several local issues, including the long-pending settlement of revenue records in the villages of Balhama and Lasjan, and the inclusion of Padshahibagh under municipal or rural administrative limits, as the area currently lacks basic civic governance. He further highlighted the urgent need for establishing a dewatering station at Balhama, where large portions of agricultural land have remained waterlogged since the 2014 floods, affecting the livelihood of local farmers.

Other important matters discussed included the development of parks and playgrounds for youth and community recreation, improvement of drainage systems in waterlogged areas, repair and upgradation of inner roads, better sanitation services, and enhancement of youth and sports facilities in the constituency.

The Hon’ble LG gave a patient hearing and assured that all the issues brought to his notice will be addressed on priority.
