The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed two officials to ensure the smooth operation of the annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage.
Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, the Administrative Secretary for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, will oversee the Baltal route. Bhupinder Kumar, the Administrative Secretary for the Public Works (R&B) Department, will be responsible for the Pahalgam axis.
According to a government order, both officers will act as Nodal Officers for their designated routes. They are tasked with coordinating with all involved agencies and reporting regularly to the Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board.
