Mohammad Rafi, who disappeared with a police officer’s AK-47 rifle in Doda district on Tuesday, has been captured by authorities.
Rafi, from Trown village near Pranoo, was traveling with SPO Safdar Hussain when Hussain stopped to buy supplies at Pul Doda. Rafi then allegedly stole Hussain’s car and the rifle.
Though Rafi’s vehicle was later found in the Jagota area of Bhalla, he and the weapon were missing at the time. A search was launched, and Rafi was eventually apprehended.
