Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reiterated his government’s dedication to resolving public grievances, emphasizing that serving the people is a fundamental duty, not just an administrative task.
“We are committed to addressing the legitimate concerns of our citizens with both compassion and urgency,” he stated during a two-day public outreach program at the Raabita Office in Srinagar.
He stressed that effective governance requires active listening, meaningful dialogue, and prompt resolution of issues. “Every voice from Jammu and Kashmir will be heard, respected, and acted upon with sincerity,” he affirmed.
Throughout the day, the Chief Minister engaged with numerous delegations and individuals who presented various concerns and requests.
- Residents of Government Housing Colony, Ompora, Budgam, raised civic issues under the Housing Board’s purview.
- Both factions of the Kashmir Traders & Manufacturers Federation discussed ongoing challenges facing the Valley’s trading community.
- The J&K Private Empanelled Hospitals & Dialysis Centers Association highlighted concerns regarding private healthcare infrastructure and policy.
- The All India Fair Price Shop Dealers Federation requested timely intervention to address long-standing demands of fair price shop owners.
- The Chairman of the Industrial Growth Centre, Lassipora, sought policy and infrastructure support for the Industrial Estate in Pulwama.
- A delegation from the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) expressed grievances related to their service conditions.
- The All J&K Panchayat Secretaries Association raised issues concerning career progression and service regularization.
- Residents of Nishat, Srinagar, presented local concerns, including land matters and civic infrastructure.
- Numerous individuals also discussed personal and community issues with the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister assured all delegations that their concerns would be prioritized and resolved through a responsive, people-focused approach.
