Grand Parade Rehearsals Held Across Valley

Across the scenic valley of Kashmir, a vibrant spirit of national pride echoed today as full dress rehearsals for the upcoming Republic Day parade took center stage. From the iconic Bakshi Stadium, destined to host the main event, to every district headquarters, meticulous preparations unfolded, mirroring the dedication and enthusiasm to commemorate this joyous occasion.

At Bakshi Stadium, Divisional Commissioner VK Bidhuri and Inspector General of Police (Kashmir Range) VK Birdi oversaw the grand rehearsal, setting the tone for a spectacular celebration. In each district, the respective deputy commissioners led the preparations, ensuring seamless execution across the Valley.

Security, naturally, remained a top priority. A multi-tiered security apparatus enveloped Bakshi Stadium, showcasing the unwavering commitment to safeguarding the festivities. Yet, amidst the stringent measures, a warm invitation resonated throughout the Valley.

“People have worked tirelessly for this function,” emphasized Divisional Commissioner Bidhuri, encouraging citizens to join the celebrations. Police Chief Birdi echoed this sentiment, assuring robust security arrangements while prioritizing public convenience. “Everyone is invited to celebrate freely,” he declared, dispelling any anxieties about potential restrictions.

When questioned about concerns of disruptions, Birdi remained confident. “The Jammu and Kashmir Police is always vigilant in such situations,” he stated, affirming their commitment to ensuring a peaceful and joyous celebration for all.

As the rehearsal concluded, a palpable sense of anticipation swept across Kashmir. The air thrummed with the promise of vibrant cultural performances, marching contingents showcasing India’s military might, and the collective spirit of national unity.
