Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reaffirmed India’s unwavering stance against terrorism, emphasizing the nation’s zero-tolerance policy and commitment to decisive action against perpetrators.
Addressing Air Warriors at the Adampur Air Base in Jalandhar, days after the cessation of hostilities with Pakistan, PM Modi asserted India’s proactive approach with the strong statement, “Hum ghar mein ghus kar maarenge aur bachne ka ek mauka tak nahi denge” (We will strike inside your home and will not give you even a chance to escape).
He lauded the Indian Armed Forces for the “astounding success” of Operation Sindoor, stating that they have defeated the Pakistani army, upon whom the terrorists relied for their safety. “The Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy have defeated the Pakistani Army, on which these terrorists were relying. There is no such place in Pakistan where terrorists can sit and breathe in peace,” the Prime Minister declared.
Describing India’s counter-terrorism policy as “crystal clear,” PM Modi positioned Operation Sindoor as the “new normal,” indicating India’s readiness to deliver a firm response to any future attacks. “India’s ‘Laxman Rekha’ against terrorism is crystal clear now. If another terror attack occurs now, India will give a reply – a solid reply. We saw this during surgical strike, during air strike. Now, Operation Sindoor is India’s new normal,” he stated.
The Prime Minister reiterated the three core tenets of India’s security doctrine:

\item \textbf{No Distinction Between Terror Sponsors and Terrorists:} India will no longer differentiate between terror masterminds and the governments that harbor them.

PM Modi emphasized that the world is acknowledging India’s evolved approach to security.
Building upon his address to the nation on Monday following Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister reiterated that India will not tolerate nuclear blackmail and will respond to any terrorist attack with firm and decisive action. He declared that “Operation Sindoor is now India’s established policy in the fight against terrorism, marking a decisive shift in India’s strategic approach” and setting a “new standard, a new normal in counter-terrorism measures.”
In his first address since Operation Sindoor, PM Modi had previously outlined the three pillars of India’s security doctrine: decisive retaliation against terrorist attacks at their source, zero tolerance for nuclear blackmail with the readiness to strike terrorist havens operating under such cover, and the principle of holding both terrorist leaders and the states sheltering them accountable without distinction.
