Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir detected and destroyed two explosive devices on the eve of Independence Day.
In Baramulla district, a patrolling team of the army and police found an IED in a bag near a college in Kanispora area in the afternoon. A bomb disposal squad was summoned to the area and destroyed the IED without causing any damage.
Earlier, a suspicious bag was found by the roadside at Heeri in Kupwara district in north Kashmir. An explosive shell was recovered from the bag and later destroyed by the bomb disposal squad.
The detection and destruction of these explosive devices is a reminder of the ongoing threat of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces are working tirelessly to keep the people safe and secure, and they are determined to prevent any terrorist attacks from taking place.
