Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bhim Sen Tuti conducted an extensive inspection of the operational preparedness of the Special Operations Group (SOG) in Kathua, Samba, and Jammu districts. The IGP also reviewed late-night alertness and security measures in the region.
Key areas inspected include:
- Border Management grid in Kathua, Samba, and Jammu, including locations like BPP Sherpur, Babber Nallah, Mawa, Pangdour, and Nandpur.
- Joint nakas of BSF and Border Police were checked.
- Infiltration routes such as Ujh, Basantar, Saharkhad, Tarnah Nallah, and Bein Nallah were closely monitored.
- Quick Response Teams (QRTs) and Nakas along National Highways at Londi Morh were inspected.
- A security review and coordination meeting was held at the Police Station Billawar, with participation from the Army, CRPF, SOG, SPs Billawar, SDPO Billawar, and SHO Billawar.
- The IGP also conducted a late-night inspection of the Samba-Jammu Ring Road while returning from Billawar.
IGP Jammu Zone was accompanied by DIG JSK Range Shiv Kumar Sharma, SSP Kathua Shobit Saxena, SP Operations Jammu Kameshwar Puri, and SSP Special Operations and Training Vikrant Prashar.
