Under the leadership of SSP Ramban Shri Kulbir Singh, JKPS, Ramban Police solved a theft case in Banihal. Three individuals were arrested, and stolen property worth over one lakh rupees was recovered.
Mudasir Hamid Malik of Krawah Banihal reported the theft of batteries, tool kits, and other items from his yard on the night of February 11-12, 2025. A case (FIR No. 14/2025 U/S 303(2)/3(5) BNS) was registered at Police Station Banihal, and an investigation commenced.
Following inquiries and utilizing technical and human intelligence, police apprehended three suspects: Imtayz Ahmed, Javed Ahmed Mir, and Vaqar Ahmed Mir, all residents of Kharpora Banihal. They confessed to the crime, leading to the recovery of the stolen property, estimated to be worth over one lakh rupees. The suspects are now in police custody, and the recovered items have been seized.
