Jammu and Kashmir to Experience Sunny, Warmer Days: MeT Predicts

The weather in Jammu and Kashmir is expected to be mainly dry and warmer for the next 10 days. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall over higher reaches on October 22-23, but otherwise the weather is expected to be partly cloudy.

In the past few days, there has been a considerable drop in mercury, with Srinagar recording a maximum of 11.6°C on Tuesday, which is 10.1°C below normal. There are reports of fresh light snowfall from Gulmarg, Sadnatop, Peer ki Gali, Simthan Pass, Gurez, Tulail, Sonamarg, and the Zojila axis on the Srinagar-Leh Highway besides the upper reaches.

The weather is favorable for harvesting and all outdoor activities.
