Jammu, June 4, 2025 — Jammu Police have swiftly arrested four individuals in connection with the assault on Sardar Gurmeet Singh Tony, a member of the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC). The incident occurred on May 25, 2025, in the Phinder area of Miran Sahib, Jammu.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
- Mohan Singh @ Goga S/o Kulbir Singh R/o Khour Deonian, Tehsil R. S Pura A/P Rakh Balahi Patli Morh Tehsil Bari Brahmana, Samba.
- Sandeep Singh @ Shotu S/o Surinder Singh R/o Deonian, Miran Sahib Tehsil RS Pura, Jammu.
- Sohan Singh S/O Kulbir Singh R/O Khour Deon Tehsil R.S Pura Distt. Jammu.
- Billa Singh S/O Kulbir Singh R/O Khour Deon Tehsil R.S Pura Distt. Jammu.
Following the assault, a case was immediately registered as FIR No. 70/2025 U/S 109/191(2)/191(3) BNS, 3/4/25 Arms Act at P/S Miran Sahib. A dedicated police team, led by PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, PSI Yasar Arafat, and ASI Fayaz Ahmed, under the leadership of SHO P/S Miran Sahib Inspector Jai Paul Sharma, conducted multiple raids, leading to the apprehension of the accused. The operation was closely supervised by SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
