J&K: Baramulla Police Adopts GPS Anklets for Monitoring Released Accused

A court in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district ordered a bailed-out drug peddler to wear a GPS anklet. This allows police to track the individual’s movements and ensure they comply with bail conditions. Baramulla is the second district in Kashmir to use this technology for monitoring drug offenders. Kupwara was the first to implement GPS anklets for those on bail related to narcotics charges.
