A fierce exchange of fire erupted between security forces and terrorists in the Kalakote area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, officials informed.
The encounter ensued following a search operation launched by the police and security forces in the area based on intelligence reports indicating the presence of terrorists.
The operation is currently underway, and the situation remains tense.
