ADGP Law & Order J&K, Vijay Kumar, embarked on an extensive tour of the border areas in Samba and Kathua Districts, accompanied by DIG JSK Range, Shakti Pathak. The objective of the tour was to conduct a thorough security review and ensure the safety of these vulnerable regions.
Upon his arrival in Samba, ADGP Kumar was warmly welcomed by DC Samba, Abhishek Sharma, and SSP Samba, Benam Tosh. He also met with all SDPOs and SHOs of the District to gather insights into the local security situation.
Chairing a crucial security review meeting at the DPO Samba conference hall, ADGP Kumar urged the officers to draw valuable lessons from any past security challenges and approach future threats with renewed vigor and determination. He emphasized the importance of proactive intelligence gathering and instructed SHOs to actively generate information about potential threats in their respective areas.
ADGP Kumar stressed the need for seamless collaboration and coordination among various law enforcement agencies to effectively thwart any nefarious designs of adversaries in the border areas. He believed that a united front was essential to safeguard the region’s security.
Prior to the meeting, SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, presented a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation to ADGP Kumar, providing a detailed overview of the current security scenario. Officers from sister agencies also presented their respective briefings, ensuring that ADGP Kumar was well-informed about the prevailing situation.
ADGP Kumar’s tour extended to the border areas of Ramgarh, Samba, and Hiranagar sectors. He engaged in a series of meetings with local officers, issuing necessary directives on the spot to address any immediate security concerns.
In Hiranagar, ADGP Kumar was greeted by SSP Kathua, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal, and his team of officers. They discussed the specific security challenges faced in the Hiranagar sector and strategized ways to strengthen the region’s defenses.
