Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a successful operation led by SHO Jaswinder Singh of Chenani Police Station, intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB22K-8258 at the Motorshed Naka Point.
During a thorough search of the vehicle, authorities uncovered approximately 20 kilograms of poppy straw. Consequently, the truck driver, Gurmej Singh, and his associate, Palwinder Singh, both residents of Amritsar, were apprehended.
A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
