On Wednesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police announced they have attached movable and immovable properties worth Rs 1.06 crore belonging to an alleged drug peddler, Liaqut Ali, and his two brothers in Kathua district.
The action was taken under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Police stated that a residential house, land, and a tractor were identified as illegally acquired assets, disproportionate to their known income sources.
Liaqut Ali, a resident of Korepunnu village, is currently under arrest in connection with four narcotics cases registered against him earlier this year.
