The Jammu and Kashmir government has implemented an immediate reshuffle within the police department, resulting in the transfer and posting of several senior officers.
According to an order issued by the J&K Home Department:
- Mr. Uttam Chand, IPS, currently IG (POS) HQ, will now assume the roles of IGP (Hqrs) PHQ, J&K, IG (Tech), and IG (Telecom), in addition to his existing responsibilities. He succeeds Mr. M. Suleman Choudhary, IPS, who has been relieved of these additional charges.
- Mr. Vinod Kumar, IPS, DIG Armed, Jammu, has been given the additional charge of DIG IR Jammu.
- Mr. Mohd. Arshad, JKPS, Director Home-guards, Jammu, will also hold the charge of DIG HG/CD & SDRF, Jammu.
- Mr. Hariprasad K.K., IPS, who was awaiting adjustment, has been posted as Additional SP Baramulla.
- Mr. Kartik Shrotriya, IPS, also awaiting adjustment, has been posted as Additional SP Anantnag, replacing Mr. Sajad Ahmad Sheikh.
- Mr. Mukund Tibrewal, IPS, is now posted as SP OPS Border & Kandi Kathua.
- Mr. Sajad Ahmad Sheikh, the former Additional SP Anantnag, has been transferred to the position of SP CTC Lethpora (Vice Principal).
- Mr. Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, previously Additional SP Anantnag (Over All Reserve post), has been transferred and posted as Dy.CO IR-23, replacing Mr. Rameez Raja, as stated in the order.
