Sopore police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substances. A police team from Bomai Police Station, led by SHO Inspector Nissar Ahmad and supervised by SDPO Sopore Sarfaraz Bashir, intercepted a suspect during a patrol on Nathipora Tujjer Shareef road. A search yielded 5 grams of heroin-like substance. The suspect was identified as Javaid Ahmad Wani, son of Abdul Subhan Wani, resident of Palihar Tujjer Shareef. A case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Bomai Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
