Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir has earned significant recognition by being selected for the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024 for its ‘Holistic Development of Districts’. The honor will be bestowed by the Prime Minister of India at the Civil Services Day celebration on April 21, 2025, in New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan. V. Srinivas, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), has invited Ayushi Sudan, the Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara, to accept the award on behalf of the district at the ceremony. This award underscores the remarkable progress achieved by the Kupwara administration in fostering integrated and inclusive development.
