Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently met with members of the Kashmir Women’s Organisation at Raj Bhawan, commending their dedication to women’s empowerment.
Sinha highlighted the significant contributions of Nari Shakti to Jammu and Kashmir’s growth and prosperity, noting that women are “scripting new history” as “role models” and “pillars of our socio-economic progress.”
He emphasized the Indian Constitution’s guarantee of equal rights for women and detailed recent government efforts, including dedicated programs and initiatives, to enhance opportunities for women in key sectors. The aim, he stated, is to enable women’s greater participation in the journey towards a Viksit Bharat and an Aatm-Nirbhar Jammu Kashmir.
The delegation also briefed the Lieutenant Governor on their organization’s initiatives, which focus on women’s empowerment, political participation, and community engagement. Lieutenant Governor Sinha extended his best wishes to the organization for their future endeavors.
