Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fighting corruption in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. He laid the foundation stone for the new Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) headquarters in Sidhra.
“This new beginning is a reaffirmation of our commitment to effectively combat corruption and fulfill our resolve of a corruption-free Jammu and Kashmir,” Sinha said.
He called on the ACB officials to work with determination and commitment to zero tolerance against corruption.
The six-storey building will have a parking area, police station, prosecution staff, and other allied offices. It will provide the ACB with the space it needs to function smoothly.
Sinha’s announcement was welcomed by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who have long been plagued by corruption. They hope that the new ACB headquarters will help to root out corruption and bring about a more transparent and accountable government.
