The Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by killing two Pakistani intruders along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday. The bodies of the terrorists could not be retrieved as they managed to flee across the LoC before dying of their injuries.
The Army recovered one AK-47 rifle, two magazines, 30 rounds, two hand grenades, and some medicines of Pakistani origin from the scene of the gunfight in the Balakote sector.
The incident comes a day after the Army killed three terrorists in an encounter in the same district.
The Army has stepped up its operations along the LoC in recent months to prevent infiltration by terrorists.
