Lt Governor felicitates Langar Organisations for their significant contribution during Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently honored the various Langar organizations for their significant service during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025.

During the felicitation ceremony at the Spiritual Growth Centre in Katra, the Lieutenant Governor expressed his appreciation for the organizations’ dedication and selfless service to the pilgrims. He noted that the successful completion of the holy pilgrimage this year, despite challenges, was a testament to the “spirit of India” and its unwavering commitment to service.

In his remarks, the Lieutenant Governor also praised all the stakeholders involved, including the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, administrative officials, security personnel, healthcare professionals, and volunteers. He highlighted that 95% of pilgrims rated the services as “Very Good” in a real-time feedback system and shared that he had seen many emotional photos and videos of police and security personnel carrying pilgrims who needed assistance.

The Lieutenant Governor further noted that Langar organizations have consistently made an invaluable contribution to the spiritual gathering. He reiterated the importance of all stakeholders working together to ensure a safe and secure environment. He also mentioned that the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board is committed to improving facilities for devotees, and that a ropeway from Baltal to the holy cave is planned for the future.

This year, a total of 122 Langar organizations provided free services to pilgrims along the Yatra route.
