Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is scheduled to meet Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar. This marks their first formal engagement since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.
The meeting signifies the first such interaction between Mehbooba Mufti and the LG in nearly five years. According to party sources, Mehbooba Mufti plans to address several urgent public concerns pertinent to Jammu and Kashmir during their discussion.
Since the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, Mehbooba Mufti has been a prominent critic of the central government’s policies concerning the region.
