“Minister Sakeena Itoo, responsible for Health, Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, informed the Legislative Assembly that the Higher Education department has successfully implemented the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 in all government degree colleges throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
Responding to a question from Javid Riyaz, Minister Itoo stated that colleges in J&K are currently offering job-oriented and skill-based courses to improve student employability and practical skills.
While Business Management programs are available, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not yet offered as a standalone program, given its emerging nature. However, AI concepts are integrated into the Computer Applications curriculum.”
