On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the newly opened integration and testing facility of BrahMos Aerospace in Lucknow will boost India’s self-reliance in the defense sector.
Speaking at an event in Lucknow where he unveiled a statue of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Bhanu Gupta and released a postage stamp, Singh remarked, “Just a few days ago, I inaugurated the integration and testing facility of BrahMos Aerospace in Lucknow. This facility will strengthen our country’s self-reliance in the defense sector and also create employment.”
Singh, who is the Lok Sabha MP from Lucknow, commended Uttar Pradesh’s improved law and order situation, which he noted has led to increased investments and flourishing industries. He also highlighted the state’s significant infrastructure development, stating, “Historical changes are taking place in infrastructure. Expressway, airport, metro, medical college—all these are presenting a new picture of development.”
