NIA Team Led By IG En Route To Terror-Hit Pahalgam

A high-level National Investigation Agency (NIA) team, headed by an inspector general, is heading to Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, according to official sources on Wednesday.

The team is en route to the terror-stricken area to support the local police in their investigation of Tuesday’s horrific terrorist attack. In this attack, 26 people, primarily tourists from various regions of India, tragically lost their lives.

Sources indicate that the terrorists targeted tourists who were enjoying the scenic Baisaran meadows in Pahalgam, known as ‘Mini Switzerland’ for its tranquil beauty. The tourists were reportedly near eateries, engaging in pony rides, or simply picnicking when the attack occurred.
