Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Tuesday that Operation Sindoor has unequivocally demonstrated India’s firm stance against terrorism, emphasizing his government’s commitment to taking all necessary actions in the national interest.
Speaking at an event commemorating the centenary of the dialogue between Sree Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi, Modi highlighted the effectiveness of India-manufactured weapons during the recent conflict with Pakistan. He asserted, “We have shown that no hideout is safe for terrorists who spill the blood of Indians.” He further added that his government’s policies align with Sree Narayana Guru’s vision of a strong and non-discriminatory India.
Modi affirmed that his government has dedicated the past 11 years to fortifying India across social, economic, and defense sectors. He noted a decreasing reliance on foreign nations for defense requirements, with India progressing towards “aatmanirbhar” (self-reliance) in this crucial sector.
Referring to the precise strikes on terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir after the civilian killings in Pahalgam, the Prime Minister stated that the Indian military, using made-in-India weapons, brought the enemy to its knees in 22 minutes. He expressed confidence that Indian-made weaponry will gain global recognition in the future.
Modi also cited his government’s welfare initiatives in areas such as housing, drinking water, and health insurance, underscoring their role in empowering marginalized and backward sections of society. He concluded by mentioning the increased establishment of IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS over the last 11 years.
