Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, addressing the All J&K Jat Sabha in Jammu on Sunday, issued a strong warning to Pakistan, stating that any future “misadventure” would lead to its destruction by India’s armed forces. He emphasized the government’s determination to eradicate terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir.
Sinha asserted that there would be no distinction between armed terrorists and their supporters, with similar punitive actions for all. He urged the Jat community and all sections of society to unite against divisive forces threatening peace and social cohesion, highlighting their crucial role in upholding national unity.
Commending the Jat community’s legacy of valor and their role as the “first line of defense” near the borders, the Lieutenant Governor praised their contribution to nationalistic spirit. He paid tribute to victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and those killed by Pakistani shelling, reaffirming the government’s commitment to rehabilitating affected families.
Sinha also called for vigilance against divisive elements seeking to fragment society, advocating for the celebration of diversity and unity to thwart adversarial designs. He linked the “Operation Sindoor” by the armed forces to the collective task of realizing a “United and Viksit Bharat” as a tribute to fallen soldiers.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for promoting equality and empowering marginalized communities in Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the Jat community.
