Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday intensified his attack on the opposition parties, particularly the Congress, on the issue of corruption. In a post on social media platform X, he highlighted the Income Tax department recovering Rs 200 crore in cash from a business group allegedly linked to Congress MP Dhiraj Prasad Sahu.
Modi stated, “Countrymen should look at these piles of currency notes and then hear the Congress leaders’ speeches on honesty. Every penny looted from people will have to be returned. This is Modi’s guarantee.” He accompanied his statement with several emojis, likely emphasizing his unwavering stance against corruption and his promise of justice.
The social media post also included a picture of numerous almirahs overflowing with cash, further emphasizing the severity of the alleged corruption case.
With the Lok Sabha elections approaching, Modi has increasingly used X as a platform to target opposition parties. He recently shared a news clip criticizing their “ecosystem” and its negativity, claiming that their arrogance, lies, and pessimism wouldn’t deter him from fighting for the people. He cautioned citizens against their divisive agenda, expressing concern that their ingrained habits from their 70-year political reign might resurface.
