Police Apprehend Drug Peddler, Seize Contraband in Baramulla

Baramulla Police have continued their efforts to combat drug trafficking by arresting a drug peddler and seizing contraband.

Police at a checkpoint in Khawajabagh intercepted Rayees Ahmad Khan, son of Gh Mohd Khan, a resident of Sherwani Colony Baramulla. During a search, officers recovered 15 grams of a heroin-like substance from his possession. Khan was immediately arrested.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 110/2025, sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act, at Baramulla Police Station, and an investigation is underway.

The police encourage the public to report any drug-related or criminal activities to their nearest police station or by dialing 112. Public cooperation is vital in the fight against drug menace, and authorities assure the community that strict action will be taken against offenders.
