A tragic head-on collision in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Tuesday morning resulted in the deaths of two women and serious injuries to nine others. The accident, involving a tempo traveller and a mini load carrier, occurred around 5:30 AM at Chattyari-Chingus.
The tempo traveller, en route to Jammu from Rajouri town, sustained significant damage in the crash. Officials confirmed that Insha Fatima (26) of Khotra and Farzand Begum (50) of Fatehpur died instantly at the scene.
Among the nine injured, who were promptly shifted to a hospital, are Begum’s husband, Mohd Iqbal, and her daughter, Rafia Iqbal. Seven of the injured are currently receiving treatment at the Government Medical College hospital in Rajouri, while a man and his minor nephew were admitted to a military hospital.
