Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir – A large-scale search operation was initiated early Tuesday morning across nearly a dozen locations in the border district of Poonch. Officials reported that the operation, which began around 6 AM, was a joint effort by the special operations group of the local police, the CRPF, and the Rashtriya Rifles.
The coordinated search was prompted by intelligence regarding suspicious movements in the Surankote and Mendhar areas. Forces are actively sweeping through Sari, Ustan, Pathankhor, Lohar Mohalla, Chandimarh, Phagal, Hari Top, and Kaagwali in Surankote, as well as Limba, Ucchad, and Kallar-Gursai in Mendhar. The operation remains ongoing.
