Samba Police have apprehended two individuals involved in drug trafficking in the Bari Brahmana area. During a routine vehicle checkpoint near SIDCO Chowk, officers intercepted a Ford EcoSport and recovered approximately 17.60 grams of heroin from the vehicle.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Junaid Ahmed Shah and Tariq Ahmed Bhat, both residents of the Gandarbal district. The seized narcotics and vehicle are now in police custody.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana, and an investigation is underway.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba has reiterated the police’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and other criminal activities, urging public cooperation in these efforts.
