“On Monday, law enforcement dismantled a terrorist hideout located in the Sanglan forest region of Uttersoo, Anantnag district, South Kashmir.
A joint operation conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Anantnag, the 19 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) resulted in the discovery of the hideout within the remote Sanglan forest, under the Uttersoo Police Station’s jurisdiction. This operation was initiated based on precise intelligence. Initial assessments indicate the hideout served as a logistical support base for terrorist operations.
Recovered items include approximately 200 spent AK-47 cartridges, two gas cylinders, a Chinese-made grenade, a night vision device (NVD), bedding, cooking utensils, and food supplies. These items confirm the hideout’s function in facilitating terrorist activities. This successful operation demonstrates the continued commitment of Anantnag Police and security forces to combat terrorism and protect the region.
