Authorities in the Jammu and Kashmir districts of Bani (Kathua), Poonch, and Rajouri have ordered the closure of all government and private schools today due to heavy rainfall and adverse weather.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Bani sub-division in Kathua directed the closure of all educational institutions as a precautionary measure, citing continuous downpour and rising water levels. The primary concern is the safety of students and staff, with officials closely monitoring the situation.
Similarly, Chief Education Officers (CEOs) in Poonch and Rajouri announced a one-day school closure due to the inclement weather. The decision in Rajouri was made under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner.
Residents across all three districts are urged to remain alert and adhere to advisories issued by the administration.
