The usually vibrant streets of the popular tourist destination are now deserted, as evidenced by visuals emerging from the area. Several organizations have also called for a Jammu bandh in protest of the attack.
The tense atmosphere has led some tourists to curtail their travel plans. A tourist from Delhi, who had intended to explore various sites in Pahalgam, stated his decision to return to the National Capital.
