Two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were successfully neutralized by security forces in separate operations in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. 1 The first IED, a pressure cooker device, was discovered by a joint police and army patrol on a link road in Chitragam, Shopian. A bomb disposal squad was called in and safely neutralized the device. 2 A second pressure cooker IED was found roadside in Pinglish, Pulwama. This device was also destroyed by a bomb disposal squad. Authorities confirmed that the timely discovery and neutralization of both IEDs prevented potential harm to civilians and security personnel.
