Police in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, seized a large sum of cash from two individuals on Tuesday. The cash, reportedly in crores of rupees, was concealed in a hidden compartment within their car, which was traveling from Punjab towards Kashmir. The vehicle was stopped at Lakhanpur, the entry point to Jammu and Kashmir. The two passengers, residents of the Kashmir Valley, were arrested and are being interrogated. The income tax department has been notified of the seizure.
