The Jammu and Kashmir Government has declared that all officers and officials posted in Srinagar and Jammu must attend the main Independence Day celebrations on August 15 as part of their official duties.
According to a circular released by the General Administration Department, the primary events will take place at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar and Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu. The circular explicitly states that “no absence will be allowed without prior permission.”
Consequently, Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and Public Sector executives are directed to ensure the full participation of their staff.
