Summer Cricket Coaching Camp for Youngsters Concludes Successfully at Parade Ground, Jammu

Jammu, June 29 – The three-week-long Summer Cricket Coaching Camp for boys and girls aged 12 to 16 concluded with a grand valedictory function at Parade Ground, Jammu. Renowned Senior Ranji Trophy player, Mr. Ramesh Pargal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

This was the sixth edition of the camp, organized by the Parade Sports Association in collaboration with Laxmi Cricket Club, aiming to groom young and aspiring cricketers. A total of 47 players were registered and received comprehensive training during the camp.

The Chief Guest and Guest of Honour were welcomed with bouquets by the President and Chairman of the Association.

The camp was held under the expert guidance of Mr. Vijay Sabarwal and Mr. Desh Rattan Dubey. Mr. Harsh Nayyar served as the Chief Organizer, while cricketing experts Mr. Sanjay Sharma (former J&K Ranji Trophy captain) and Mr. Randhir Singh Jamwal provided valuable insights. Mr. Vikram Dogra was the coach and trainer, focusing on physical fitness, batting, bowling, fielding, and running between the wickets.

Organizing Secretaries Mr. Kapil Dev Mahajan and Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta, along with Mr. Vikram Singh Bhadwal and Mr. Vikrant Singh, played key roles in the smooth execution of the camp.

A medical checkup of all participants was conducted by senior Ayurvedic consultant Dr. Anil Kumar Mahajan, who also provided personalized health advice and a list of do’s and don’ts related to diet and daily routines.

In celebration of International Yoga Day, Yoga and Meditation sessions were conducted by experts Mr. Sharad Chander Mangotra and Mr. Vishal Dubey. Players practiced techniques aimed at enhancing mental and physical well-being.

At the conclusion of the camp, players submitted feedback forms that included suggestions from both participants and their parents for future improvements. In a meaningful gesture, all players took an oath to refrain from drug abuse and pledged to plant a tree during the upcoming monsoon season.

Dr. Anil Kumar Mahajan, General Secretary of the Association, highlighted the various initiatives of the Parade Sports Association and Laxmi Cricket Club. Mr. Vijay Sabarwal, President of the Association, delivered the welcome address, while Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Senior Vice President, shared a detailed report on the outcomes of the camp.

All participants were awarded certificates, smart shirts, lowers, and hats by the Chief Guest, who lauded the dedication of senior cricketers in nurturing young talent.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end of a successful and enriching cricketing experience for the youth.
