Due to the continuing heatwave in the valley, Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced on Wednesday that summer vacations for colleges have been extended until Sunday.
Originally, college vacations were set to conclude on July 4, and school vacations on July 7. The Minister stated that a decision regarding the extension of school vacations is still under review, with the government actively monitoring weather conditions and forecasts before making a final announcement.
