Security forces initiated a search operation today in a remote forested area of Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, acting on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists.
The joint operation, involving both police and army personnel, commenced this morning in the Singhpora forest area of Chatroo. Officials reported that the area was immediately cordoned off to prevent any escape by the suspected terrorists, though no contact has been made so far.
This operation follows two separate encounters in the Chatroo belt earlier this year, in April and May, which resulted in the deaths of three terrorists and one soldier.
