Two Army Personnel Injured in Ongoing Encounter with Terrorists in J&K’s Rajouri

Two army personnel were injured in a gunfight with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday evening. The encounter broke out after security forces cordoned off a forest area following information about suspicious movement. The terrorists fired at the troops in an attempt to break the cordon, resulting in retaliatory fire. Two army personnel were injured in the gun battle and have been hospitalized. Two terrorists are believed to be inside the cordoned area and reinforcements have been rushed to plug all possible escape routes. A joint operation by the army and Jammu and Kashmir Police is underway to neutralize the terrorists.
