Wages Of NHM Employees Revised From 15% To 17% With 5% Annual Increase: Sakeena Itoo

“The Minister for Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo, informed the Legislative Assembly that NHM employee wages in Jammu and Kashmir were revised by 15% to 17% in 2021-22, with a planned annual 5% increase. As the NHM is fully funded by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, salary adjustments to match other states require central government approval.

Specific wage increases included: Specialists, from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 85,000; Medical Officers (MBBS), from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000, plus a Rs. 15,000 performance incentive; Medical Officers (AYUSH), from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000; and Dental Surgeons, from Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 35,000.
